DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The long-awaited opening of De Pere’s Mulva Cultural Center is set for next month.
Center officials plan to open to members on Dec. 4, with a public opening set for Dec. 8.
“We are so excited to welcome people inside of this magnificent facility,” spokesperson Tom Shefchik said in a news release. “We know this will quickly become a major destination for Northeast Wisconsin.”
The center’s first two exhibits are Ladies and Gentlemen….The Beatles! and And the GRAMMY Goes To…. Both are scheduled to remain on exhibit through Jan. 21.
Other exhibits scheduled for 2024 focus on dinosaurs, Legos and sharks.
The center also includes a restaurant, Savour on Broadway.
The center’s hours will be:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday: Noon-5 p.m.
Tuesday: Closed
Tickets cost $25 for adults, $20 for military members and senior citizens and $15 for children ages 6-17. Admission is free for children 5 and under.
Construction of the 75,000-square-foot facility along the Fox River in downtown De Pere began in 2021. The $100 million facility is named for James J. and Miriam B. Mulva, who financed its construction.
