OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The latest $160 million order for military vehicles from Oshkosh Defense includes an allotment for U.S. allies.
The company says the order is for joint light tactical vehicles and associated packed and installed kits. Some of the JLTVs will be sent to allies including Mongolia, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Slovakia.
“The Oshkosh Defense JLTV has consistently demonstrated its ability to fill critical capability gaps and we are honored by the continued interest from international allies,” George Mansfield, vice president and general manager of defense programs at Oshkosh Defense, said in a news release. “As the sole OEM that can supply JLTVs through Direct Commercial Sales, Oshkosh will continue our support of NATO, Allied, and Coalition Forces that want to modernize their militaries with the JLTV’s battlefield-proven payload, performance, protection and network connectivity.”
The latest order follows a $208 million order earlier this month for additional JLTVs, JLTV trailers and associated kits.
