Dontae Payne PC: Fox 11 Online
APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Dontae Payne was convicted Thursday for a March 2021 murder in Kaukauna.
Payne, 29, pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of second-degree intentional homicide for the death of Brian Porsche at a home on West Division Street.
He faces a maximum of 60 years in the prison system when sentenced on Feb. 2.
Previously, Tanya Stammer, 31, was sentenced to 23 years in prison for her role in the death. She was also convicted of second-degree intentional homicide.
According to the criminal complaint, Payne and Stammer targeted Porsche. Payne allegedly shot Porsche. The two then tried to make the scene look like a robbery, and tossed his phone and keys into Lake Winnebago.
