FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A woman is in custody after another woman was taken to the hospital for a cut on her face.
Around 2:43 a.m. Wednesday, Fond du Lac police responded to the 800 block of Martin Avenue for a report of a stabbing.
Officers learned a 32-year-old Fond du Lac woman entered the victim’s residence and physically assaulted her, causing a laceration to her face.
The 29-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities went to the suspect’s residence and negotiated with her on the phone and through a closed door. She eventually came out without incident.
She was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of substantial battery and criminal damage to property.
Police say both the suspect and victim knew each other and this was an isolated incident.
