ALLOUEZ, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Leaf and yard waste collection for the Village of Allouez’s fall clean-up has been extended by one week, the Village announced Monday.
A news release cites “the volume of leaves that have not dropped yet” as the reason behind the extension.
Allouez residents now have until Nov. 19 to put leaves and yard waste to the curb, at which point the Public Works Department “will attempt to make one more full pass through the Village.”
Other important fall clean-up yard reminders from the Village of Allouez include:
- Leaves and yard waste should be placed in separate piles behind the curb, not in the street.
- Bagged material will not be collected.
- Yard waste does not include brush, branches, green grass, stumps, plant stalks, tree roots or root balls.
- Depending on the amount of leaves/yard waste placed at curbs, crews will not always be able to pick up this material on the same day as garbage is collected.
Once collection begins, residents can visit the Village of Allouez’s website to get an idea of when their yard waste will be picked up.
