MARSHFIELD, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A brush fire burned about 25 acres in Fond du Lac County.
Around 11:15 a.m. Sunday, crews were called to a field area on County Highway CCC, west of County Highway G in the town of Marshfield.
When fire departments arrived on scene they located the fire in a swamp area on the south side of County Highway CCC. This area that was on fire contained mostly cattails. Approximately 25 acres burned.
County Highway CCC was closed between County Highway G and Hillview Road for 2.5 hours.
The fire is not suspicious and is believed to have started from an ATV that had a mechanical issue.
No injures were reported.
