LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An electrical manufacturer in Little Chute opened its new smart manufacturing facility, opening the door for additional employment opportunities in the area.
Excellerate, a division of Faith Technologies Incorporated (FTI), gave a tour of its new 385,000-square-foot facility Thursday.
The company, which constructs modular electrical buildings (MEBs) for construction sites, needed more space to keep up with demand.
The new facility uses clean energy technologies to lower carbon emissions with the goal of reaching net zero in the future.
“As we built this facility, we really wanted to look at being carbon-neutral and offsetting that so the building was designed that everything in here is the heating and cooling is all electric. In the spring here, we plan to add solar across the rooftop, we have some internal products, energy storage products we will be pairing with that to offset our overall usage and put us at a true net-zero facility,” said Excellerate’s regional leader, Paul Keckhaver.
Excellerate operates five manufacturing facilities nationwide: the new Little Chute facility, as well as Appleton, Neenah and Milwaukee and Olathe, Kansas.
Excellerate is still seeking experienced team members to fill key positions, including electricians, millwrights, superintendents and systems technicians. Entry-level logistics specialists and assembler positions are also available, with career-path training provided. Click here to apply.
