MADISON, Wis. (WSAU-Wheeler News) — Madison police arrested a 52-year-old man Friday shortly after a shooting at a southwest side auto repair shop left one man dead and a second with critical injuries.
The shooting suspect, Sophea Mouth, is tentatively charged with first-degree intentional homicide and attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
The owner of another business nearby identified the dead man as Tom Dreger of Monona. Police are waiting to official identify him until the Dane County Medical Examiner completes an autopsy.
The second victim wasn’t named. Police say he is a man in his 50s. A witness called police and officers were on the scene within minutes, arresting Mouth and recovering what they think is the murder weapon.
