GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A stove fire in an apartment building on Green Bay’s east side resulted in a $30,000 loss and left one person displaced.
Around 10:45 a.m. Friday, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department (GBMFD) was dispatched to 800 Doty Street for the report of a stove fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the second floor of a two-story, five-unit apartment building.
GBMFD said the fire was contained within 10 minutes, all occupants were able to self evacuate and no injuries were reported.
Due to the extent of the damage — which is estimated at approximately $30,000 — one occupant has been displaced.
