BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Crews surveying Brown County citizens about disaster preparedness have canceled their door-to-door travels on Tuesday.
The county health department says it is concerned about surveyors’ safety during inclement weather.
If and when a survey date is rescheduled, the county says it will notify the public as soon as possible.
The survey being done is a Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response, or CASPER, survey. Surveyors are asking 30 questions, such as how many blankets respondents have in their home, whether residents have a decent supply of drinking water stocked up or whether there is any medical equipment being used in the home that requires electricity 24/7.
Crews are scheduled to be out from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, and 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1-4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Crews will be knocking on 210 randomly selected doors in 30 different areas of the county.
