The Greek Freak is happy. ESPN reports the Milwaukee Bucks and superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo have agreed to terms on a new, three year contract worth up to 186 million dollars. The deal includes an option out for Giannis before the 2027-28 season, essentially moving his opt out year forward. Antetokounmpo could have moved on from the Bucks under his existing contract after next season. The two time MVP indicated he wasn’t willing to sign an extension with his only NBA team unless everyone in the organization was committed to winning as he was. After General Manager Jon Horst hired Adrian Griffin as Head Coach and then pulled off the blockbuster Jrue Holiday for Damian Lillard trade, Giannis must have been convinced the club is on board. The Bucks open the regular season Thursday night hosting the Philadelphia 76ers at Fiserv Forum. All Bucks games can be heard on 1440 AM, 101.9 FM WNFL this season.
