GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay Water is issuing a survey through the end of the year.
The survey is being conducted to see what the public already knows about their water and Green Bay Water.
Andrea Hay with Green Bay Water gave an example of what the survey will find out from residents.
“Do you understand the difference between wastewater and drinking water? Do you know who owns the pipes in the ground? Do you know which part of the curb-stop you own? Do you know what’s in your basement? Do you know what your pipes are made of?” said Hay.
Green Bay Water will then use this feedback to find ways to further educate the public on their water.
“We want people to know what they’re drinking, and we want people to understand their water bill,” said Hay. “It’s taken the water industry a long time to catch up with the modern information age.”
Green Bay Water’s goal is for 1,000 people to take the survey before the end of the year so they can begin focusing on what educational efforts they will offer in the future. Click here to take the survey.
