OAK CREEK, WI (WSAU) — Police in Oak Creek are investigating an escort website after it was discovered that an 11-year-old girl’s cell phone number was posted on its message board.
Faith Baldus says she received a voice message from a man who says he tried to call her daughter but instead was prompted to call her.
When Baldus asked why he was trying to contact her, he said ‘you need to look at this website and get your daughter’s number off there,’ according to WISN TV.
Baldus says her daughter’s voicemail greeting includes a prompt to call her mother’s phone in case of emergencies.
She says she was able to get the number removed and has since gotten her daughter a new phone and number.
A police report has been filed in Oak Creek but officials say the incident was most likely an accident.
