OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Archeological work is forcing more events at Oshkosh’s Menominee Park to a different location.
The Oshkosh Parks Department says it’s moving Brews in the Zoo on Friday, Oct. 20 and Zooloween Boo on Saturday, Oct. 21, to the Leach Amphitheater at 303 Ceape Avenue.
Last week, crews working on the Pratt Trail reconstruction project in Menominee Park, confirmed a historically significant Native American village site that dates from AD 900 to 1600 has been preserved intact beneath the road bed.
As a result, fall and winter events planned to take place at Menominee Park, will be relocated.
