GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Green Bay’s city council did not take any action at its meeting Tuesday night to combat increasing complaints of rats.
The council voted to receive and place on file a report that showed rat complaints are at a five-year high and greater than the annual average over the past ten years.
The city has received 129 complaints so far this year with the average annual amount being 101. The problem peaked in 2017 and 2018 when complaints exceed 200 both years.
A city map shows all but 12 of this year’s 129 complaints have come from the west side.
