GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A woman who allegedly hanged two dogs from trees at a park-and-ride has died, prompting prosecutors to request the case to be dismissed.
A judge is expected to formalize the dismissal Tuesday afternoon.
Pamela McNeill, 58, faced two counts of mistreatment of animals causing death for the February 2022 incident in Howard. McNeill had admitted to the actions, saying the Pomeranians were misbehaving before she killed them.
McNeill’s last court appearance was in July, when a Nov. 7 status conference was scheduled. No trial date had been set.
Prosecutors filed the motion to dismiss last month. It does not cite a date or cause for her death.
McNeill described to officers what happened when they talked to her.
“(The officer) then pointed out to Pamela that she had a dog the last time Police talked to her and inquired where it was. Pamela advised she killed them both and hung them in trees. She said they became vicious although later she said they had not bit or snapped at her, but just growled,” the complaint states.
