SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after driving his vehicle into a pond in Sheboygan on Wednesday.
Around 1:20 p.m., the Sheboygan County Communication Center received a report of a vehicle that had driven off I-43 northbound and into a retention pond on the property of Acuity Insurance.
When officials arrived on scene, the driver had already removed himself from the vehicle prior to it submerging. As a precaution, he was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other individuals were in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Sheboygan County Divers assisted a towing company with removing the vehicle from the pond. Units were clear of the scene about two hours after the crash.
