STURGEON BAY (WLUK) — Sturgeon Bay police say three teens are behind a string of stolen vehicle reports this year.
Between Feb. 7 and Aug. 11, the department received 11 reports of stolen vehicles.
Police say nine of those stem back to the three teens who are between the ages of 15-18 years old. Charges have been referred to the District Attorney’s Office and the Juvenile Justice System.
Investigators say the teens primarily targeted Kia and Hyundai vehicles and on several occasions, targeted local dealerships that had these vehicles on their lots.
The department says the public, along with the Green Bay Police Department, helped identify those responsible.
