Green Bay Rockers
The Green Bay Rockers completed a Divisional Semifinal series sweep of the Madison Mallards in dramatic fashion to advance in the Northwoods League playoffs Monday night. After taking game one in Madison Sunday, Green Bay found themselves tied at 3 going into the 9th inning at Capital Credit Union Park Monday night. Madison scored a go ahead run in the top half but that set the stage for Kendel Ewel to deliver a two out, two run, walk home run to right field to send the Rockers into the Great Lakes Division Championship game. Green Bay will face either Traverse City or Kalamazoo for the division title. Those teams will play both games in a doubleheader Tuesday. The one game divisional championship winner heads to the Northwoods League title game this weekend.
