BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A person is in custody after leading Brown County authorities on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle.
It happened Sunday night on Highway 29 in the western part of the county when deputies attempted to stop a vehicle that was reported stolen.
The suspect vehicle increased speeds and was weaving in and out of traffic, deputies say.
Due to concerns for other drivers, the pursuit ended.
A short time later, officers located the suspect vehicle in a ditch and the driver was spotted running away.
A perimeter was established and when an officer located an empty holster in the suspect vehicle, a Bearcat was called to the scene.
Officers used a drone and K9 to locate the suspect and took them into custody without incident.
