GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One of downtown Green Bay’s three bridges will be closed for several hours today.
Public works officials plan to close the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge for preventative maintenance. Dousman Street will be closed west of the Fox River at Broadway. Main Street will be closed east of the river at Washington Street.
The closure is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. The bridge is expected to reopen at 2 p.m.
The 2023-25 state budget Gov. Tony Evers signed into law Wednesday includes $1.2 million for improving the bridge.
