Pen folds in Brewer loss

The Baltimore Orioles avoided a sweep at the hands of the Milwaukee Brewers by salvaging the final game of the series Thursday afternoon 6-3, thanks to a late rally against the Brewer bullpen.  After erupting for 10 runs in Wednesday night’s 10-2 victory, the Brewers picked up where they left off by plating three runs in the first against Baltimore starter Kyle Bradish.  Rowdy Tellez, Owen Miller and Jonathan Singleton all drove in runs.    Colin Rea meanwhile, cruised through five scoreless innings allowing just three hits while striking out 9.   Bradish found his groove and left after five innings with 10 strikeouts.   Baltimore finally got on the board in the seventh with a run and then grabbed the lead by scoring three times in the 8th off Peter Strzelecki.  The big blow was a go ahead, two run homer by Gunnar Henderson.    Adam Frazier would tack on a two run double in the ninth off Bryse Wilson.   Milwaukee falls to 34-29 with the loss but maintained a one game lead over idle Pittsburgh in the NL Central race.   The Brewers continue their homestand with a weekend series against the Oakland A’s, baseball’s worst team this year at 14-50.   Adrian Hauser will start the series opener for Milwaukee.  Pre-game coverage begins at 6:35 PM with a 7:10 PM first pitch on WTAQ.
