FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Fond du Lac police say they are still collecting evidence in a shots fired incident over the weekend.
Officers responded to the 100 block of 3rd Street just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday for a report of possible gunshots.
When officers searched the area, they were unable to find any evidence. There was also no reported injuries or property damage at the time.
Later that morning, with more available sunlight, crews went back and recanvassed the area and widened the search area to include E. 2nd Street. That’s when officers located a few handgun casings in the 0 – 100 block of E. 2nd Street.
At this time, there remains no reported injuries or property damage.
Police say they will be back out Tuesday to collect evidence and search for any additional video surveillance of the incident.
