OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A stretch of Highway 54 in Outagamie County will be closed beginning next week and isn’t expected to reopen until this fall.
Construction begins Monday on 54 from Park Avenue in Shiocton to French Road in Seymour.
The project includes asphalt resurfacing, widening the paved shoulders and replacing culvert pipes and storm sewer inlets. Other tasks include upgrading the guardrail and upgrading the curb ramp in Black Creek and Shiocton.
The full closure of 54 is expected to last until October.

Both highway projects are part of a $10.2 million contract Gov. Tony Evers signed on Tuesday.
