Jordan Love meets the press.
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay Packers will extend their new starting quarterback’s contract, according to reports.
NFL Network and ESPN are reporting the Packers and Jordan Love have agreed to an extension through the 2024 season.
ESPN reports the extension is worth up to $22.5 million, with $13.5 million of that fully guaranteed.
The Packers extended Love’s contract rather than pick up the fifth-year option on his rookie contract. The deadline for that decision was Monday.
Love goes into the 2023 season as the Packers’ starting quarterback following last week’s trade of Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.
Love, the Packers’ 2020 first-round draft choice, has played in 10 games, completing 50 of 83 passes for 606 yards, with three touchdowns and three interceptions.
