The opening round USHL playoff series will go the limit between the Green Bay Gamblers and Dubuque Fighting Saints. After Green Bay took the opener 4-1 on Monday night at the Resch Center, Dubuque jumped all over the Gamblers facing elimination in game two, scoring three goals in the first period on their way to a 5-2 victory. Forward Raimonds Vitolins got Green Bay on the board :32 into the second and brought the Gamblers within a goal with another tally at the 6:50 mark. Dubuque would tack on two more of their own before a scoreless third period. The best of three series will wrap up with a win or go home game Wednesday night at the Resch with a 7:05 PM face-off. The winner will take on Eastern Conference winner and top seed Chicago which earned a first round bye.
