SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — While Thursday may have brought storms and rain, sturgeon spawning has finally resumed after the colder weather hit earlier this week.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources said on Thursday that spawning activity was occurring at the Shawano Dam. But with water levels as high as they are, people aren’t able to access the walkway to actually watch the fish.
No sturgeon were reported at the De Pere Dam or on the Peshtigo River.
