RIPON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man and two teens have been arrested in connection with an apparent drug overdose death of a man whose body was found on a Ripon sidewalk.
Ripon police say on April 6, the 18-year-old victim, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old went to a home on Scott Street in Ripon and used narcotics. While there, the 18-year-old began to experience overdose symptoms and became unresponsive. The people in the home took him outside, placed him on the sidewalk and ran away.
The body was found the next morning.
On Tuesday, officers searched the Scott Street home and arrested a 21-year-old resident on a probation hold.
On Thursday, officers searched homes in Ripon and Fond du Lac County, and arrested the two teens.
Police are recommending the suspects be charged with counts including reckless homicide, being party to the crime of reckless homicide, keeping/maintaining a drug house, obstructing an officer, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The suspects’ names have not been released.
