Wisconsin Timber Rattlers
In a newly renovated Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium, the Wisconsin TimberRattlers won their 2023 home opener Tuesday night beating the Peoria Chiefs 8-3. Wisconsin scored in each of the first three innings. 2022 Milwaukee Brewers first round draft choice Eric Brown Jr. made his pro debut and singled in his first at bat. He would score on a Joe Gray Jr. RBI groundout. Je’Von Ward ripped a two run double in the second and Ernesto Martinez Jr. launched a two run homer into the new left field seating area in the third. Robert Moore added a two run single in the 8th as Wisconsin improved to 2-2 on the season. It was a breezy 75 degrees at game time making it the warmest home opener in franchise history. The two teams meet again in a 12:05 PM matinee Wednesday afternoon.
