WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Saturday outdoor siren tests will resume for the season this weekend in Winnebago County.
County emergency management officials say the sirens will sound each Saturday at noon. They will be canceled if there is severe weather or other serious conditions are imminent.
County officials remind people that the sirens are meant only for people who are outdoors. They recommend having a NOAA weather radio to supplement the warning sirens.
The county also plans to participate in the statewide tornado drill on April 20.
Siren tests will take place weekly through September, or longer if weather dictates.
