BELLEVUE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A house fire Saturday afternoon displaced four people in the Village of Bellevue. It happened at a duplex in the 2200 block of Allouez Avenue, east of Lime Kiln Road.
Green Bay Metro Fire Department units were notified around 4 p.m. of a possible chimney fire. Crews arrived and found smoke in the attic and on the second floor of a side by side duplex.
Fire officials say they were able to extinguish the fire within 10 minutes reducing damage to the other duplex unit. Crews estimate a total of $80,000 in damages.
Wisconsin Public Service shut off gas and electric to the home.
Four people are displaced.
The cause is unknown at this time. Officials say the origin of the fire was in a bathroom fan.
