MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) — Full time residents and visitors alike can now dive deep into all their community has to offer on the newly launched visitmanitowoc.com.
The new website was officially launched this week. Visit Manitowoc’s Director of Tourism, Courtney Hansen, says the site captures Manitowoc’s essence of a fun, friendly, lakeside community.
Created with both leisure travelers and group planners in mind, the website was constructed based off data of how audiences were searching online for the Manitowoc area.
Main navigation on the site includes things to do, events, restaurants, places to stay, and plan your visit tabs. A secondary navigation menu is focused on planners interested in hosting a meeting or conference, group visit, sporting event, or wedding in Manitowoc.
Traffic on the site has been pretty good so far.
“It’s already been a really exciting couple of days to see these thousands of page views,” said Hansen. “Just the fact that the average visitor is spending over three minutes perusing our site; that’s well above the national average.”
Soon, area businesses will be able to update their listings. Event planners are encouraged to submit upcoming events through the “submit an event” tab on the new website.
