WEST DES MOINES, IA (WTAQ) – A grocery store chain is recalling macadamia nuts from its stores in the Madison area, due to possible salmonella poisoning.
HyVee Incorporated says it’s voluntarily recalling two-ounce bags of nuts sold under the HyVee name from last July through February 3rd.
There have been no reports of illnesses, but HyVee says the product’s supplier issued a voluntary recall after a routine sampling was found to have the salmonella bacteria.
HyVee, based in West Des Moines, says the recall applies to all 240 of its grocery stores including three in Wisconsin — two in Madison and one in nearby Fitchburg.
