FAIRCHILD, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Throw an axe with your friends, and help provide much needed medical supplies to Ukraine.
An online fundraiser will benefit Chalice of Mercy, a 501 (c) non profit based in the Chippewa Falls area. Founder Valentyna Pavsyukova has made it her mission to send much needed medical supplies to the war torn country. Born in Ukraine, Valentyna left when she was 18 and settled in Wisconsin.
The Catholic mission has since sent $25 million in medical and emergency aid to eastern Ukraine – in particular to a hospital and a clinic on the frontlines.
“Many people have reached out to me. They want to help; their heart is just so open and they’re in pain. One volunteer reached out from Appleton and wanted to do a fundraiser.” said Pavsyukova.
The Chalice of Mercy fundraiser runs through February 24, 2023 with Appleton Axe. Purchase new gift vouchers or make new bookings and 30% of the proceeds will be donated. Go to www.appletonaxethrowing.com and use the code AXE4PEACE at checkout.
