(WTAQ-WLUK) — With Winter Storms hitting Northeast Wisconsin, municipalities are enforcing winter parking and tow bans.
Heavy snow and strong winds are likely at times, which will lead to dangerous and difficult travel conditions.
Appleton
A snow emergency will go into effect at 5 p.m. Wednesday through 5 a.m. Friday. Under the snow emergency, parking is prohibited on all city streets at all times to allow crews to clear the snow in a safe and efficient manner. There will be no exceptions to the parking ordinance. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed and towed.
During the last Class III snow emergency issued in February of 2019, over 45 vehicles were ticketed and towed from city streets.
Grand Chute
The Town of Grand Chute is declaring a snow emergency. The declaration shall take effect at 11 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, and remain in effect until 6 a.m., Friday, Feb. 24, 2023.
- 24-hour per day prohibition of on-street parking is imposed
- No special parking permission granted by police
- Vehicles found in violation may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense
- Avoid traveling on town streets unless absolutely necessary until storm ends and streets have been plowed
Green Bay
The City of Green Bay is declaring a snow emergency effective at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, ending at 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023.

- No vehicle is allowed to park on any Green Bay street until the snow emergency has expired
- Overnight on-street parking permissions will not be granted
- Vehicles found parking on-street during the snow emergency will be tagged, ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense
Hortonville
The Village of Hortonville has declared a Class II snow emergency that will go into effect Wednesday, February 22 at 12 p.m. At that time, all vehicles must be moved off the Village streets by order of the Village President.
Parking on all Village streets shall be prohibited beginning Wednesday, February 22 at 12 p.m. and ending Friday, February 24 at 12 p.m.
Where snow has been removed to the curb, these emergency parking restrictions shall not apply.
Howard
Snow emergency effective 5 p.m. on Wednesday to 5 a.m. Friday.
No parking on the street, day or night. Vehicles found stuck or abandoned in the street or parking on the street will be tagged, ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
If on Thursday morning, your street has been plowed completely, from curb to curb, you may park on-street not to exceed one hour after plowing is completed even though the snow emergency may still be in effect.
Kaukauna
A snow emergency will go into effect Wednesday at 9 p.m. through Friday at 7 a.m. During the snow emergency, parking is prohibited on all city streets. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed and could be towed at the owner’s expense.
Town of Lawrence
The town of Lawrence has issued a snow emergency effective 6 p.m. Wednesday to 6 p.m. Thursday. During a snow emergency, vehicles cannot park on town streets or public right-of-way.
Manitowoc
Winter parking ban in effect for overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning, Wednesday night into Thursday morning and Thursday night into Friday morning.

A snow emergency is expected.
Menasha
The city of Menasha has declared a snow emergency from 5 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Friday. During a snow emergency, parking is not allowed on city streets and any vehicle illegally parked or hampering snow removal operations will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
Neenah
Snow emergency effective 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, until noon Sunday, Feb. 26.
During the snow emergency, no parking is allowed on any street, at any time. The only exception will be the 100 and 200 blocks of Wisconsin Avenue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Any vehicle illegally parked or hampering snow removal operations will be ticketed and could be towed at the owner’s expense.
New London
Snow emergency effective 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Friday.
No vehicles can be parked on any streets within the city limits during this time.
Outagamie County
There is a tow ban for I-41 and Highway 441 in Outagamie County in effective until further notice. This means tow trucks will not be available to help drivers if they are stranded.
Waupaca County
A tow ban is immediately in effect for U.S. Highway 10, U.S. Highway 45 and State Highway 45 until conditions improve. This means tow trucks will not be available to help drivers if they are stranded.
