OUTAGAMIE COUNTY (WTAQ-WLUK) — A pair of Fox Valley lawmakers are offering their constituents the chance to share their views on the 2023-25 state budget.
State Sen. Rachael Cabral-Guevara, R-Appleton, and Rep. Dave Murphy, R-Greenville, are holding two listening sessions.
The first is set for 10:30 a.m.-noon March 11 at the Grand Chute town hall, 1900 W. Grand Chute Blvd. The second is 6:30-7:30 p.m. April 17 at the Center town hall, N3990 State Road 47.
Democratic Gov. Tony Evers released his proposal for the budget last week. It now goes to the Legislature, which is controlled by Republicans. The Legislature is expected to send its version of the budget to Evers for his signature in early summer.
The state is entering the budget process with a record projected surplus of about $7 billion.
