APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) — The second annual “Women in Public Safety: Investing Today for a Stronger Tomorrow” is coming up on March 8.
The one-day event will provide young women with a hands-on experience within the fields of public safety, and will be led by local women in public safety.
The day will provide career exploration opportunities and one on one mentorship to attendees. A broad spectrum of interests will allow for further consideration of career topics and help guide women on how to prepare for a career in public safety.
“It’s a day filled with leadership opportunities for young women who might be looking at a career in public safety, or maybe they don’t know what they want to do when they’re done with high school.” said Appleton Police Chief, Polly Olson.
