GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The review process in investigating the shooting death of a Green Bay man has been completed, according to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office.
The announcement regarding the case of Jonathon Tubby was made on Tuesday.
The case stems from when an officer shot and killed Tubby inside the Brown County Jail after he was arrested during a traffic stop on October 19.
It was previously said by officials that a “very long” confrontation started in the sally port of the jail, which is where individuals are brought in to be booked into the jail.
The Department of Justice released that information and announced details of the shooting about a week after Tubby was killed.
A rally in downtown Green Bay was held for Tubby and the shooting also prompted a lawsuit from the Tubby estate.
The district attorney’s office is now drafting a written report based on its findings.
Whether criminal charges will be issued is set to be determined from that report.
A press conference will be held by the district attorney’s office on Friday, February 1 at 1:00 p.m. to announce those findings.
