GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The freezing temperatures haven’t been all bad news, as it’s allowed for local ice skating and hockey rinks to open for the first time this year.
The ice will be ready Friday at Beaver Dam, Perkins, Edison, Astor, McAuliffe, John Muir, and Colburn, according to the city of Green Bay.
Perkins Park on Fisk Street has skate rentals available for $3 per person. Children can get their skates sharpened for $5 and $8 for adult skates.
