FOX VALLEY (WTAQ) – A questionable item located at a Fox Valley recycling center led to a brief investigation.
If you see something, say something. Fox Valley Metro Police Lieutenant Mark Wery says recycling center workers who noticed an object that looked like human remains, contacted police Tuesday night.
“It has been identified as a foot from a bear that appears to have been disposed of improperly.”
Wery says they had to call in crews to investigate due to the process that was going on and said in this case, it is better to be safe than sorry.
“It kind of closely resembled that of human remains, but through the medical examiner’s office in Fond Du Lac County, we were able to determine that is was animal.”
Operations at the center were put on halt for about 6 hours, but resumed by Wednesday morning.
