STOCKBRIDGE, WI (WTAQ) – The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the DNR in the investigation of a snowmobile crash that killed one person Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m when a snowmobiler lost control after hitting either a snowbank or crack on ice on Lake Winnebago.
Officials say the snowmobile landed on and killed the operator.
Speed and alcohol have not been ruled out as factors.
