SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ) – Winter Weather is taking its toll on snow blowers and snow blower parts, which means the demand is high, and the supply is a little low.
Snowblowers around Shawano County are getting a workout this winter.
Bob Schowalter of Qualheim’s True Value in Shawano says that means they need to keep up on supply and that includes full machines.
“We were sold out of snow throwers, we just got a fresh shipment in.”
The other issue is parts. Schowalter says if you use your snow blower enough, things start to break or go out.
“Basically belts, cables, and shear pins,” Schowalter says. “Parts are going fast but we are restocking.”
Schowalter says the type of snow also makes a difference in what the snow blower can handle.
“This is light so it is not too hard to throw.”
He says once the snow gets wet and heavy is when things start to break on people.
The store is keeping on supply as Shawano residents remember the largest snowfall of the season last year came in April.
