WAUWATOSA, WI (WTAQ) – A man is dead after an officer involved shooting in Wauwatosa.
Officials say around 3 a.m. Thursday, a Wauwatosa Police Officer was investigating a suspicious vehicle at a park.
The officer saw a person inside with a handgun.
Officials say the officer feared for his safety, and shot the man, who was killed.
For now a perimeter has been set up around the park.
An investigation into the shooting, both internally and likely the state Department Of Justice, will begin immediately.
