GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The opening of the new Hotel Northland will provide more than what meets the eye.
It is a big improvement for downtown.
Jeff Mirkes, Executive Director of Downtown Green Bay says more foot traffic is good for the whole downtown, especially places that might not get as much currently.
“Adams Street will see a major resurgence because of the adding traffic and activity.”
Mirkes says it is good for one of the downtown’s well used facilities.
“The KI can now host larger conventions because of these higher quality hotel rooms that are now in the market.”
It is not the only hotel in Downtown Green Bay, but Mirkes says it is one of the more premier hotels. It is the only Marriot Autograph Collection hotel in Wisconsin.
Because of that, Mirkes says it will be able to serve all demographics.
