TOWN OF CENTER, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A different kind of softball game was played in the Town of Center.
Saturday was the start of the annual snowmobile softball tournament near Appleton.
Organizers say the game is played like slow-pitch softball and is played on snowmobiles.
The tournament is the biggest fundraiser for the Hill and Valley Riders Snowmobile Club.
“It’s a lot of fun to play and all these guys and gals that come out here, they can’t wait for this weekend to come out and play some softball on snowmobiles,” said Bruce Learman, an organizer of the tournament.
Money raised from the event goes toward maintaining snowmobile trails and equipment.
