GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Metro Fire Department was dispatched for a report of a fully involved garage fire at 1163 Eastman Ave just before midnight.
First units on scene found a three stall, unattached garage fully involved in fire. Crews were able to quickly knock the fire down and keep the fire from spreading to the home, which was fifteen feet from the burning garage.
Five people were in the home at the time of the fire, all escaped without injury. No damage to the home, occupants are not displaced.
The garage is a total loss, as are most of the contents of the garage. No vehicles were involved.
Fire Marshal’s office is on scene investigating a cause of the fire. The preliminary dollar loss is $25,000 until Fire Marshals can obtain more information on the contents that were lost.
