MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – Water backing up from the Manitowoc River has forced a partial road closure.
Delta Street is closed between North Rapids Road and North 44th Street, according to the city of Manitowoc Facebook page.
Low points on Delta Street were flooded after ice jams in the river caused waters to spill over.
Delta Street is lower than any other area roads.
Mayor Justin Nickels said in a Facebook live video that some residents have been evacuated.
