FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – Those impacted by flooding in Fond du Lac County should benefit from a new grant program that has been established.
The program is made possible as the county has partnered with the United Way and the Fond du Lac Area Foundation in order to collect financial donations to assist victims.
The city of Fond du Lac was overtaken by water thanks to ice jams in the Fond du Lac River on March 14.
More than 300 homes in Fond du Lac County were damaged due to flooding, with one of them being totally destroyed.
Governor Tony Evers was in the area earlier this week in order to asses the damage first hand.
Online donations can be made through the following links and one hundred percent of the donations will go directly to flood relief.
Any donations made through a check can be made out to 74 South Main St. in Fond du Lac or the Fond du Lac Area Foundation at 384 North Main Street.
