GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Green Bay is thinking outside the box, as the city looks to make even some of its most mundane objects a bit more beautiful.
The Green Bay Public Arts Commission announced Thursday that it is seeking artists of all kinds for utility box artwork.
All experienced Wisconsin visual artists are encouraged to submit their art for consideration. Selected artwork will be developed into vinyl graphic wraps, which will be installed on select utility boxes throughout the city.
Selected artists will receive $300 per image for rights to use the image on the boxes and in promotional materials.
GBPAC says this is an opportunity to display visual art of all mediums — including but not limited to painting, drawing, textiles, photography and ceramics — within the community.
All applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on March 3. Submission guidelines are available online.
