FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Several pets died in a fire in a second-floor apartment above The Bullpen Wednesday night.
Crews were called to the 200 block of W. 9th St. for a report of a fire above the bar just before 10 p.m.
They found heavy fire coming from a second-floor window.
The blaze was put out within 30 minutes.
No one was inside the building at the time of the fire.
There was heavy damage to the apartment above the bar, with smoke and water damage throughout the building.
No other structures were damaged.
The Fond du Lac Fire Rescue is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
